"Free Fallin"
We have just returned home from a 3 week vaca and I have lots to post. Pictures, video and words to describe it all. It might take a while to get it all put together and will most likely come in several posts, so please be patient with me.
Rockin the harness!!!
Lovin it!!
So where were we??? We were in sac for a week playing with Brooke and her kids, while Brooke and I worked on a project; revamping a kids kitchen set my mom gave Mylie. It's not quite done so I'll save all the pics for a post when it's done. Then we were off to Utah to visit family and friends. we had a blast and did all kinds of crazy things including going on a 240 ft SLIP-N-SLIDE! Then it was back to Cali, and Mike finally got to join us for a Family Reunion on his side, in Donner/Tahoe. It was so fun to see all the family. The kids are at an age where they will be able to remember all the fun cousins they have and all the adventures we had with them. I miss all the help I had with all of them around!
Then to top it all off, I was finally able to live out one of my life long dreams/goals, SKYDIVING! 12 of Mike's family members, 3 sisters, 4 cousins, 2 aunts, a nice, and a nephew and me, all took the leap together, well, in 2 different planes, but we were all in it together. The only bummer was that Mike had to work or else he would've been right there with us.
So that's what this post is really about..... pics from the amazing jump! I loved every second of it and, NO, I was not scared..not one bit. I was so hyper and amped... I couldn't wait to get on the plane and jump! Now all I can think of is when do I get to go again....... any one want to join me???? It was AMAZING!!!! I'm so hooked! Weston wants to go really bad too... just 7 more years and we'll go together!!!
Rockin the harness!!!
Lovin it!!
Fierce!!!

GO A'S!
In early June Ethan's Kindergarten teacher, the best ever, arranged for kids from her class and their families to go to an A's game. We had so much fun! We had a whole section full of people we knew and the kids had a blast! Here are some great pics from the fun night!!!
The extra kid in the pic is my "adopted" daughter Vanessa. We love her!

A mixed emotion
June 2nd was our Livermore 1 year Anniversary! Time sure does fly. It has stirred many mixed emotions for me and the fam. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, our neighborhood. We have made some wonderful new friends and feel like we've known them forever. It breaks my heart to think we might not live here forever.
It also reminds us of all our family and friends that we left a year ago. We miss you all so very much and you are all still so fresh in our hearts and minds. Not a day passes without someone talking of our old school, friends, ward, or family and how much we miss it.
We feel so blessed to always be surrounded by so much love and support.
We know we will be here for a while longer, so remember we love visitors!!!

Talent Show Pictures!!!!!
One of the teachers from Primary, bless her, took some pictures of my boys during the Talent Show. Weston was in her class last year, she is so sweet!!! The pictures are great! I am so thankful that she took them!!!! She made my day!!! Now you can see what I was trying to describe! Love it!!
Here they are... THE TENNEY BROTHERS!!!!
Aiden is lovin it!!
Go Ethan!
He's so in the zone!
Can you see Ethan's jump?? I love that it was captured. It was right on with the timing of the music! Sing it loud Weston!!!

bitten by the performing bug
We had our Annual Primary Talent show tonite, and it was so much fun! As a presidency we did a skit and a couple little acts. It was so much fun. It reminded me how much I really love to be on stage and perform. I know it was just some silly skits, but it reminded me of roadshows and drama classes I took in HS and college. I know I didn't do a lot that you all might know or remember, but it has always been something that I enjoy.
Well, it seems that I have passed that gene on to my boys. They've been bitten by the performance bug and they loved it! They sang and "played" guitar to the Jonas Bros. song, "That's just the way we roll". Weston actually sang the whole song, in the mic and they all rocked out on the guitar. Mike and I were impressed. When they came and sat down, Weston says to Mike, "That felt sooo good. I want to do that again." Later in the night, he got some of my props and acted out characters from our skits while we were cleaning up. I loved seeing them get into it all, but it seems Weston really got bit hard!!
So look out for the tenney boys... they might be selling out arenas someday.
Sorry, no pictures... I know, can you believe I forgot my camera for their big debut????

Try something new
The purpose of this particular post is to encourage you to try something new. This was my first attempt at a diaper cake, and I'm pretty happy with it! It was fun and not too hard to do. I put it together while watching "so you think you can dance" with Mike. I'm throwing a shower tomorrow, for my friend who is expecting her 2nd set of twins. She is quite a woman!
I had seen and heard about other diaper cakes, but I was a bit unsure about doing one myself. I'm not really very crafty, but I wanted to attempt it and see if I could do it. Now, I know it's not perfect, but I was happy with the outcome and I'm excited for my friend to see it.
So, whatever it might be for you.. if you want to try something new, do it! It's fun to challenge yourself.

alright, I get the hint!!!
Many of you have been urging me to get blogging again, so I'm going to try to get a little more consistant. I guess you're all tired of seeing Aiden hanging upside down. lol.
I do have much to add, Easter pics, Mylie's 1st b-day, etc.. I won't get to it all but here's a little something.... Mylie is getting so big! She celebrated her first birthday on March 30th. (I know.. I'm sooo late.) She has had a great year and has brought so much love and joy to our family. She is the princess of our home and neighborhood! She is really easy going and loves people. A real social butterfly. Gee, I wonder where she gets that from??? We are loving watching her grow up and look forward to fun ahead.
After the city Easter Egg Hunt
Her very own one of a kind Raggedy Ann doll from Great Grandma Jackie. She loves it! Thanks Grandma!!
Mylie loved being sung to for her 1st birthday.
She loved the cake too! Yum!

Kids Montage
Aiden has been taking a gymnastics class for the past few weeks. It has been really good for him and he has a lot of fun. This is a new friend he has made, his name is Brian and he happens to be a member of our stake as well. What a great connection! They have alot of fun together and I love watching him bounce, jump, swing and tumble all over the place.
Weston has learned a very valuable lesson about KARMA. Last saturday we were at a birthday party for our neighbor and the kids were all playing in the jump house. For some reason Weston thought it'd be a good idea to give Aiden a mega, ultra, super wedgie, (his words, mind you) Well, it was obviously not ok and he and I had a little talk and he had to sit out for a while. As he was diving through the entrance to go back in Aiden was coming out. Aiden inadvertanly kicked Weston in the face resulting in Weston's first shiner! This picture is a few days later so it's not that bad anymore, but you get the jist. It created a really nice teaching opportunity......be nice or you'll get a black eye!!
Weston had his first Science Fair Project this past week. He had the option of submitting it to the district Science Fair too, and so he did. It was a good experience. Next year he wants to have his project judged so we better start thinking of a good one.
Weston is experimenting with his artistic side too. He took this picture and showed it to me and said, "Look mom, still life."

I know those bananas were really ripe, they made great banana pancakes the next morning. I could even hear Jack singing in my head while I was making them.
Ethan is a funny kid. He is so sweet and makes me laugh. I am so impressed by him in so many ways. One of his favorite things is to help me take out the garbage. He does it all by himself, all of it. So one day after he had emptied the garbage, taken it out to the big can, and put a new bag in, (something Mike still has trouble doing, lol ) he decided to climb in. Why not, it was clean! It made perfect sense to a 6 year old! Made for a cute funny picture too!
Mylie is in the quick and curious stage. I usually have a gate up infront of the stairs so she is pretty contained. If I don't get that gate up she takes full advantage of it. Climbing the stairs is one of her absolute favorite things to do. While I was busy unloading groceries she made her way upstairs and into our bathroom. It wasn't long till I realized she was missing and so we,(ethan aiden and I) went searching and found her in my bathroom upstairs. She was having fun!!! Reminds of the picture in the book, "I Love You Forever"
Frog legs anyone???
Mylie has acquired the taste for the unusual... frog legs, but only the rubber kind. I was cracking up when I saw her with this little green frog coming out of her mouth. She thought it was pretty funny too. She's a little stinker, everything goes in her mouth! We have to be very careful around the house. The boys are keen to her little habit too. They look after her pretty well and tell me right away if she has found some little treasure she wants to taste.
The grossest, wierdest thing she actually swallowed was a band aid off her own finger. At her 9 mos. appt. the dr. did a finger prick to test for anemia, vitamin levels, etc.. and they put a little band aid on her finger. Silly doctor. Well, I went to the grocery store right after her appt. and as we are shopping I notice Mylie seems to be chewing on something and kind of gagging. I quickly unbuckle her and pull her out of her car seat all the while trying to get this object out of her mouth. I was unsuccesful and as I'm looking in her mouth to locate whatever it was and try again, I see her swallow it. I couldn't tell at first what it was, then I looked at her band-aidless finger. Sure enough, the next morning guess what I found in her diaper!! Atleast it came out! The boys got a good laugh out of that one..so gross!

Way overdue
Yes, I know February is almost over and I am just now posting pictures from Halloween thru New Years. I still think they are fun to look at and it can give you a glimpse into what we were doing and why I was too busy to post and blog earlier! :) There are kind of a lot of pictures, but a lot of great memories were made. If you have a minute, I hope you'll enjoy looking at them.

Chicken Pox, Ice Cream and Saturday Sunshine
The quarantine has been lifted!! We are free to mingle with the rest of the world now. We seemed to have survived the chicken pox AND each other quite well. I'm really impressed with the boys self control and tolerance for the uncomfortable. They are my champions!! These pictures were taken when they were at the height of the pox. I know they are not pretty pictures but notice the SMILES on their faces. I did not force that from them, that really is how they felt 90% of the time! We had a few fevers but I welcomed them, it made them rest and take a nap. I thought for sure I'd go through several bottles of calamine lotion with 4 kids having the chicken pox. We used about 1/3 of 1 bottle, and that was mainly on Mylie!
Still, even with how good the whole ordeal was, I was ready for a break! I needed to get away from the house and have a little ME time. My friend and neighbor, Jessica had been home with her little guy sick all week too. She and I decided we deserved a little evening away. Nothing major, just some time to breath without someone clinging to us. So we headed out for some dinner at this great little bistro in dwntn Livermore and then for a treat to Coldstone. I rarely go there, but I do love it. After a little searching we found our perfect match....my new love... Tall, Dark and Minty!!! Dark chocolate Peppermint ice cream with Oreo's.!!! It is pure heaven in a pint!! You should of seen us practically running to the car, just so we could open the ice cream and dig in! I can't even explain the euphoria I was experiencing as I ate the ice cream. I have truely never had this kind of reaction to food. I really think being cooped up for 8 days affected my taste buds or something. I seriously fell in love with this ice cream!!! A little bit of an unhealthy relationship here or what???

Saturday was so beautiful here and we spent almost every daylight hour outside. The sun felt so good! We had an impromptu picnic with some neighbors on our front lawn, rode bikes to the park, walked to 7-11 for a slurpee, wore out lots of chalk while experimenting with shadows, and just enjoyed human interaction with those outside our walls! It was a good day!

Lock Down!
The Tenney house is currently in Lock Down. Quarantined from the outside world. All four kids have the CHICKEN POX!! So if anyone wants to just get it out of the way.. feel free to come visit us! :)
On the flip side, you might see a lot more blogging from me during this time. Nowhere to go, nothing to rush off too. It's actually kind of nice.
Luckily, so far, the kids are doing fine. Weston and Mylie have it full blown right now,(see their pics) and Ethan and Aiden are just starting to get a few dots. We'll see how they are in the morning. Other than it being a little annoying, it's kind of like a vacation. They can't go anywhere, they don't feel all that bad and video games keeps their mind off the itching.
Not that we want to do it again, but I'll take this over the flu anyday!
Anyway, keep us in your prayers, mainly me, for my sanity!!! :) j/k

My poor Mylie girl. She is such a tough cookie! I know it looks bad, but she is still really happy and in a pretty good mood. I have caught her rubbing her head on the couch cushions or she'll rub it against me while I'm holding her though. I feel so bad for her!
This other one is Weston's back. Sorry for grossing you all out!!

Happy 6th Birthday Ethan!!!
Today, 6 years ago, our family was blessed to have Ethan join us. I'll never forget that on that day, in Sacramento, it snowed! I knew he was a special kid. Ethan is very sweet, and kind. He is creative, funny and very good at any sport he tries. He loves babies, especially his little sister Mylie, and is very helpful with her. I'm so thankful to be his mom and to see him growing into an excellent little man. These pictures are just a few of the wonderful ways Ethan has made the Tenney family better! I love you buddy!
